A cut above ...

There comes a time in a girls life where some of the same old stuff just doesn't work the way it used to. 

I recently cut off my long locks and opted for a much shorter, more exposing style. WoW you can actually see my face.  It is quite amazing the emotional connection one has with cutting the hair. My hair was such a great accessory for me to hide behind. Not any more. The hair is gone, no more hiding.

Is it wrong to get this excited about the summer fruits that we have available?

I get absolutely over excited at the display and mix of my breakfast. This one was to delicious not to share. Sometimes it really is the simple things that makes us the happiest of all.

My morning nosh

A little treat for me...

It is such a wonderful treat to have flowers in my home.
Now that I no longer have my flower shop I am not surrounded with the beauty and pleasure they bring on a daily basis.

So I marched myself off to the local produce markets and picked up some beauties for my place. It is amazing what a difference they can make to a space.

When was the last time you bought yourself a bunch of your favourite flowers?

It is hard to believe that I started out as a florist 20 years ago. Since selling my Flower & Interiors store in Paddington Sydney 2 years ago I no longer have to prepare flowers for Valentines Day for the hordes of lovers that would willingly or sometimes begrudgingly come in to buy flowers for their lover or lovers... It is nice not to have to work the long hours today preparing loads and loads of flowers. Instead I can take the time to stop and smell the roses myself and enjoy the moment.


Below is a little idea and inspiration on how to decorate simply and beautifully today on valentines day and always. 


Perfume bottles, tea cups, little bud vases and vessels will all look beautiful filled with blooms.

Happy Valentines Day to Me.

My Beautiful Kitty cat Sydney just cannot get close enough to me today. As I work at my desk he finds a way to watch over me from a cosy vantage point upon the filing system.
It's nice to know that someone is looking out for me. Prrrrrrrrrrrr

On the road again.

As yet another birthday approaches it brings with it the usual questionings that one has when you realise that you are definitely not in your 20's anymore, actually girl you are not even nearly in your 30's anymore. 

Priorities change, attitudes change, realities change. I am now more connected to my spirit, to discovering who I am and what I love more than ever and in a more gentle way for me and everyone around me. 

To those of you around me who have been there for the long haul and have gone the distance with me and for the new and beautiful friends I have collected on the way. Thankyou for sharing this journey with me. It is certainly a rollercoaster. 

 This Photo of me was taken in India last year. A journey that kicked my butt into really getting who I am and challenged me to face the woman I am. This trip was life changing and one of those moments in life you thank god for having. 


India, the land of Irony, love, colour, laughter, the most amazing food and the most inspiring people I have met in my life.
